Not quite right.
The pure sine wave represents a sloping off of optimism to negativism then back up. Things don't work so gradually around here.
The middle-right does show the crashes that happen, but also suggests a fair amount of time in the middle ground between peaks and troughs.
The square wave is the best captures the true manic-depressive nature here. There is no in-between, just highs crashing to lows then rocketing back to highs again, then crashing, then rocketing...
