People want to say the math, but the math says his average is one thing, what he gets paid every year is another, the every year salary allows us to sign other players, the every year salary will be minimized going forward based on cap ceiling increases.

Floating the numbers forward allows the team to flex spend for lack of a better term to keep other players. Sure the final year is like 23 million, but if the cap increases say 20 million by the time is it really that much?

Yeah the fact that it is back loaded a bit can only really benefit the team in several ways.

I was being conservative, I actually typed 40 the first time.
