I think it's a good way to mend fences with those who have an open mind. I'm done being mad about it. He basically got a one-of-a-kind deal that guaranteed he would always be their highest-paid O lineman. Hard for a youngster getting his first big- time contract to turn way from. He should have been franchised, and we all know the Diet-Pepsi-in-a-gobbler-drinking narcissist who dropped that ball. ''Oh no, Guards don't get paid that much!''
Anyhow, raising the flag is done to honor the Team & fans, moreso than the flag raiser, IMO. OBTW, he DID give us 4 really good years.
