Not nearly gone but depleted for sure . Age , weight gain , many interests off the field , lots and lots of money , and 394 career sacks probably play into it .

Mobility is one thing. Russell is still very much a mobile QB. What has diminished significantly is his escapability. We don't see near the Houdini-like seemingly impossible play extensions out of Russell that we have in his first few years. He's not nearly as quick as he used to be.

Russell also doesn't seem to take as deep of a drop as he used to, which has limited his ability to escape out of the back of the pocket. Rather than unload the ball when the pocket collapses, he'll try that reverse spin move of his and run right into a sack.

What we need to do is draft an offensive line that is all under 6’ tall.

We should be scouting every d3 school. Looking for gems that are 5’10” 315 lbs. The best one should be there at pick 55 for us.

Russ can then comfortably stand in the pocket and see the middle of the field.

If this is what they had to do to make russ successful than how has he been so successful thus far, with taller lineman? Hmmm. Your right we need short fat guys.
