This lady seldom made team announcements, the only one recently was on trading Russell Wilson. No doubt she OK the trade and in the power struggle of Pete vs Russ, she felt strongly about supporting her head coach and ridding the team of her HOF QB. At the time she was widely ridiculed, some even changed her name to Jodi (with an i), she was called the worst owner. With Wilson struggling in Denver, Pete is rewarding her decision, with a bonus in Geno being graded #1 on PFF.
"We look forward to welcoming our new players and to everyone being fully engaged while working our hardest to win every single day. I trust our leadership to take us into the future, and know we all wish Russell the very best."

Ya, Jody doesn't know anything about football and never gets involved, so they said...
I don't think she is involved in day to day operation of the team, but on major decision, like keep or trade Russell Wilson, a multi-hundred-million decision, she was the decider. She could keep Russ and yield to his demand to be a partner in coaching and personnel, extend him with another multi year contract. OR, she stood by her coach.

Players lose their ability to play at a high level. Some drop slowly, some drop overnight. The Seahawk brass saw it coming and sold him for a high price when they could

You don't need to know about football to be team owner.

But there's a reason most NFL owners are NFL owners, because they're extremely successful in other sectors and business worlds, and that means knowing how to manage, hire and entrust people who do know about the businesses they're involved in and own.

Jody like Paul trusted Pete and John's opinions on Russell and what that meant moving forward with her franchise. That's what good business owners do, delegate and entrust the people within their companies to advise and facilitate change if needed.
