This was sweet, we had no idea what to expect, most of us hedged to the worst, justifiably so.

What we have to look forward to, we beat a team that was celebrated by everyone all off season, the team that beat them was labeled a dumpster fire and a W for most teams, we were ranked 28th to 30th in the first pole.

This team is raw, unrefined, the defense is still learning, they have to get into football tough shape, lack of contact it seems takes like 4 weeks to hit the stride needed. They will learn as well as get much better working together and so many youngsters learning the NFL game.

The offense is much like the defense, young lineman only going to get much better, Geno had to have massive butterflies, he will gain confidence and a synchronization with his receivers as the season progresses which will make things more smooth and faster tempo. We will get much better there also.

Trial by fire tonight on a big stage first game out, we passed with flying colors, and I am sure the mediots are scrambling for explanations.

Only problem I have is Pete ball, we jumped out and Pete does Pete he turns off the gas and lets the defense go prevent mode to eat time and preserve a lead. Not sure that formula is the best with this team.

One more enjoyable aspect, the defense played with attitude once again. Thats a refreshing change, maybe they are actually inspired, or maybe they are allowed to play with abandon. Doesn't matter it was nice to see.

We may not win a Super Bowl this year, but being able to watch the Mediots choke on their own spit and words, once again playing with a chip, seeing players have a personality. ALREADY VERY ENJOYABLE.

This is going to be a very interesting season to watch, exhilarating at times frustrating at others. But we are in a new era, and it won't be boring.
