I would have hoped this thread OP would have waited until the season was actually finished. We are in fact still in this thing, and the playoffs haven't even begun. So no players will be added by me.

I will only say that a new DC would probably make sense as the position is too much for Norton Jr. right now. Who that would be I have no idea, but someone who really understands not just player evaluation, coaching and game planning/in game adjustments would be nice. If not then have PC devote all his time to that side of the ball for all these things. That's not going to happen......we all know that.

Ken Norton (at least demote to linebacker coach)
Fant
Ansah
KJ Wright (with sadness. a warrior but we need to get younger in the middle)
Shaquem Griffin (can't keep because of the feel good story) too light to be a defensive lineman, not good enough to be a reserve linebacker. Others make more impact at special teams.
TT and Delano Hill (too whiffs as secondary draft picks)
David Moore (can make an occasional nice catch, but very inconsistent)
Ifedi (do not resign, no matter how desperate)
Joey Hunt

Joey Hunt has quietly been terrible, but not "don't even use him as depth" terrible.

Hill and Thompson, however, don't work even as depth.

George Fant. Him being winded shows he's out of shape and it played a big factor in why we got that delay of game. To be that out of shape this late in the season is telling.

I do not think Fant can be a starter at Left Tackle, however I would consider keeping him as a Jumbo TE, but not at a high salary. If he commands a high salary, let him walk and recoup the Comp Pick.

LJ Collier--We're paying him several million for every tackle he makes. Or doesn't. Point is at $10M, he should have shown up more regardless of being banged up earlier. Who wasn't banged up?

Shaquem Griffin--showed up last game but where was he this time? We can and did hire "special teams aces" off the street as well as grow them. They're supposed to grow into defensive starters in this case. Don't see it happening no matter how many books or TV interviews the brothers do.

Pocic--supposedly the solution but isn't if he can't stay healthy.

All three are on rookie deals for 4 years. You don't get rid of those kinds of guys.

I was in hopes Atlanta would decide to go a different direction so Quinn could come reclaim his DC spot. Norton would be a great Asst. But Atlanta rebounded to give them renewed hope, so...
I would at least bring in a serious challenger for Myers to work against. He missed a bunch of EPT. That is very concerning. To his credit he has made some big kicks too.
I get vested in players. We have a bunch of guys that are family, and others that are fast becoming that way. I don't like seeing them go. I do crave for the Seahawks to win and I get the business side. Gotta do what you gotta do and I don't think anyone does a better job of that than John and Pete.

I don't care what the coaches think about Blair not being ready. He isn't going to get ready on the bench while dump trucks like Hill and Thompson let even Brett Hundley tear them apart. Those two are dreadful on their best days.

Fant is a very valuable OL and did pretty well vs. Bosa who is a handful.

Prosise has been here 5 stinking years and accomplished NOTHING.

I don't know where to start . I do know that next years 53 will look a whole lot different than now ; and coaching staff too.

Nice list! I appreciate the thought in this, but see a few things differently, as noted below.

* Ken Norton *Jr.* (at least demote to linebacker coach), Agree, reluctantly, let's see what Pete does.
* Fant - Disagree, he has been serviceable as emergency LT. Great as blocking TE, "Outside Tackle" Just don't overpay.
* Ansah - We vastly overpaid for what we got; he never got healthy enough. A one-year, cheaper prove-it deal would be OK. As it was, he took snaps from our young guys, while being ineffective. Looked effective at times when healthy.
* KJ Wright we need to get younger in the middle) - Yes, and I hope he becomes part of the coaching staff. I do think he has ONE more serviceable year in him, to mentor young guys.
* Shaquem Griffin (can't keep because of the feel good story) Disagree overall. I like using him as a pass-rush specialist, maybe blitz from LB spot, and also mobile QB spy. Solid contributor on Special Teams. He deserves another year. The talent and effort are there. Needs more reps for the light bulb to go on. Maybe what we REALLY need is a DC who can use Squaquem in packages that allow him to do his things. So back to Norton Jr.
* TT and Delano Hill (two whiffs as secondary draft picks) - If they're cheap, OK to keep as backup/emergency DBs/ST contributors, but yeah.
* David Moore (can make an occasional nice catch, but very inconsistent) - Moore is a KEEPER. Major ST contributor, good blocker, deep threat, good RAC. Remember he is still young and WR takes extra-long for many guys to figure out at NFL level. Maybe use him on some jet sweeps too. Yes, WR 3/4, but serviceable. Keeper over Jauron Brown.
* Ifedi (do not resign, no matter how desperate) - I'll trust Solari and Pete on this one. He's been the one guy with the ability of *availability* and seems to suck a little less every 4 or 5 games.
* Joey Hunt - This guy has saved our season by coming in and playing Center at a passable NFL level. Yes, he gets manhandled at times. I'll trust PC/JS/MS decision on the use of roster spots, and whether to keep. Ethan Pocic being unavailable at center or not as good as Hunt is rather damning of 2nd round pick Pocic. In fairness, Pocic has been injured.

Justin Britt... Is he worth the $$$ he might command? Terrific player and leader for us when healthy.

Season is over, updated list (pretty much the same):

- Ivan "the Terrible" Lewis (strength & conditioning coach)
- Ken Norton Jr.
- Brian Schneider (maybe one more chance?)

- Tedric Thomson
- Lano Hill
- C.J. Prosise
- Ziggy Ansah
- Akeem King
- Jaron Brown
- Jason Myers (at least bring competence)
- Germain Ifedi (if not extra-cheap)

I'd personally love to have another HC (even if we miss with the choice and we end up winning 4 games), I'm really sick of PC (top 3, probably top 1 in motivating people and building culture, bottom 5 in game prep, in-game coaching: time management, 4th downs, 1st half of games ...).
