Anybody placed on IR before cuts is lost for the season and can't be brought back. Do you really think we are going to do that with Blair for a sore back?

I can see us doing that for Griffin because of huge depth, but I think we keep Blair on 53 until at least after cuts are finished. We can waive a vet and bring them back after cuts to save spots for guys like Blair.

They can be brought back if they are waived and re-signed.

But they have to clear waivers. No chance they risk that with Blair.

I think they cut Shead, keep Blair, then put Blair on IR and then resign Shead.

I doubt Shead gets picked up by another team. At this point I doubt Shead even goes into waivers, he's probably free to sign with whomever he wants so I bet there's been a "discussion" about planning to bring him right back.

In agreement and I really hope we are both right about BBK.

I don't think we at all want to waive a 2nd round pick.

The best scenario is you keep the injured young guys on the roster, release the bubble vets that aren't subject to waivers (Shead, Bellore immediately come to mind) and then after the cuts determine your IR and re-sign the vets you want.

Somehow I think they figure a way out to keep Jennings.

At the expense of what WR all of ones listed have done more or bring more to the table

Solid prediction, but PC/JS love to poach off of other rosters, and trade late round picks for guys they want on cut down day.

I expect at least 1 DB, 1 DL, 1 QB, and maybe 1 TE/FB, to be brought in from other teams.

And then depending on how things look, they will be looking to trade for a DE, or a vet WR.

Does not account for who may be picked up from some other teams roster cuts. They are looking at ours, and we at theirs.

Deshean Shead cut, per the Rotoworld link above.

Bummer, he did a good job, and I was rooting for him to make the team. It might be just so they can bring him back after week 1 at a cheaper price, but Shead's tweet doesn't make it seem like they told him that they intended to bring him back.

And just like that, the news of, and rumors of, cuts gets pushed to the back burner.
