What ever happend to all the posters that said we made it thru the playoffs and were one game away from the NFC championship last season and he is a compliment to what we already have?

Harvin can't open holes for the running game, he can't pass block to give Wilson more time, he can't change running the ball on 3rd and 7 plus yards.

Moves could of been made with his money he should at least give some back right! Think the guy is a hell of a player when he plays. Problem is he hardly plays man. I could think of a million ways to use that money.

With the benefit of hindsight, every single team would handle last off season differently.

The Seahawks absolutely were not planning on paying $23 million to receivers that did not dress yesterday. You can argue that they should have known given injury histories, but the reality is that tons of huge stars get hurt every single year in the NFL. Go down the list of NFL teams and you will see players everywhere earning $10 million+ and not playing. It sucks, but ignorant fans will be glad to have a scapegoat because it lets them keep things simple instead of having to accept the complexity that comes with uncertainty.

We do not know if Harvin will help us in the playoffs or not, but he is a sunk cost for this season. The only reason to mentally "write him off" right now as a fan is if holding that uncertainty is too complicated for you to handle.

The real question is who do we lose to free agency because of Percy's bloated contract in the next couple of years? Sherm? Earl? KJ? Golden? Baldwin? Bennett? That is when the idiocy of the trade and contract we gave him will truly set in. Brace yourselves because it's coming.

And this will make me resent him far more than any "what could've been" in terms of Super Bowls.

Except that if we cut him after the super bowl, his contract only hurts us in 2014 from a cap perspective. All the rest of the contract goes away if I'm not mistaken. Still sucks that we lost those draft picks, but that's the way the ball bounces sometimes.
