Frank Clark had 9 sacks last year, Mack had 10.5. Frank Clark is 25, Mack is 27. Mack is looking for a massive contract. I wouldn't trade Clark for Mack straight up.

Who's the genius who thought up Clark+Earl for Mack? I would trade Earl for Mack because he's younger, and you can't have too many pass rushers, but adding Clark to the mix is foolish.

Definitely not both Clark and Earl, that doesn't make us better trading our best pass rusher for another older pass rusher.

But I could see Earl + a pick for Mack. DE's are a higher value commodity than safeties......so if this goes down I'd expect Earl + a pick.

Tanner McEvoy is back in camp?

Danny O'Neill last night "Someone else said it might be Tanner McEvoy." They mentioned almost everything that was brought up in here. :327321_Spy_23.22:

Awesome, but seems like a bad deal for the Raiders, McEvoy was cut they could have him now without trading their best defensive player.

Well this dispels this option.

Saints signing former Seahawks wideout Tanner McEvoy.

Mack Strong taking Moons spot in broadcasts.
That’s probably it.

Agreed. That makes the most sense. Khalil is a pipe dream, IMO.

Question: why would Carroll care enough to tweet troll over Mack Strong, he was long retired before Carroll got there, and if that was the case why even bother trolling in the first place. And why wouldn’t he just let the team’s PR department handle it.

Days before the Seahawks play Oakland who also have a holdout whose name is Mack.
Doesn’t add up.

Khalil Mack would be great. However, that would be too easy, Carroll has done this for years, and is quite good at it.

I stand on my previously premise that any possible trade with Oakland and the trolling tweet is alluding to an actual trade for and the “return” of Bruce Irvin. With Mack re-signing and returning to Oakland. But that’s just me trying to solve this puzzle, if it’s an actual challenge for us fans to decipher it, in hard mode.

I'll be rooting for McEvoy. He has a shot. Different coach, system, QB.
It took CaBevell what, 4 years to learn how to actually use Jimmy Graham in the offense?
McEvoy had to play in that same system. Maybe NOrleans and Payton and Brees have a better idea for using McEvoy.

Rodgers got 100 million, so it's in the Dr. Evil voice.
I'm sure some grammar corrections will be coming too........ :irishdrinkers:

The reports yesterday are that Mack is available, but the Raiders want TWO first rounders.

Now maybe we can cut a deal for one first and Earl? But no way in hell I'm giving up two firsts. THEN you have to try to sign him to a long term deal, and he wants big money.

So I don't give this much of a chance.

Holy crap to get Irvin back.

We have struggled to fill his spot since he left.

Not sure what that has to do with the Tweet, but if Pandion knows something we don't I would be ecstatic.

The biggest losses this team has endured were guys that we thought we could easily replace:

Tate
Irvin
Lynch
Unger
Okung

Irvin is still one of the best players on the Raider defense. He is still racking up sacks and pressures.
