Actually, if Penny got the ball, a 230 lb running back vs a 200 lb corner in open space--not a bad matchup for the RB, break one tackle and there are some yards to be had.

This... The play was likely designed to get Penny in space against the corner.

the ball is thrown to late - I mean it is not debatable

RW is not trusting the receiver yet for good reasons (he hasn't played with him) he was being overly cautious and it cost the int. If it is thrown on time there is NO WAY the defender gets there
