Interesting stat about that 2012 playoff game:

The '89 LA Rams were the NFC West team to win two back to back east coast playoff games (wild card & divisional round, Eagles & Giants), which is what the Seahawks were up against themselves.

The Niners were participants in both '89 and '12 NFCC, winning both, so the road was certainly challenging had Matt Bryant not kicked the game winner that day.

We owe them for 2912 and they can suck a brontosaurus.

I'm going to assume you meant 2012. Those keys are right next to each other after all... :D

Actually he meant 1912, and yes, he is that old! :les:

It's kind of perfect that they play Denver before they play the 'Hawks. I'm used to worst-case week before scenarios: good teams fresh off of their bye week, or off of an awful performance so they'll be extra focused.

Based on the brontosaurus comment, I'll go with 2912 BC. :3-1:

If the Falcons lose to the Broncos, there is a good chance they lose to us, either way they will be beat up by that defense, and then they will come here and play against another physical defense. Falcons will have to try and run the ball and not throw all over the place. I'm thinking our guys will be ready for the pass attack. This team has two weeks to prepare for them. Their defense we can score on, it's whether their offense can score on us that's the question.

This plays right into our strengths. They have a suspect D, and the game plan should be to sustain long drives that results in points to manage the clock(call me Captain Obvious here), and keep their offense off of the field.

I think a healthy dose of C-Mike, and CJ for this game should be in order.

Cool it hot-shot.

The only hoax bigger than Global Warming is Brontosaurus fossils. Go figure - they both come from China!

You forgot your :sarcasm_on: icon... (I hope)... :34853_doh:

But I was just messing with his numbers. Actual brontosaurus species were roughly 150-155 million years ago... According to ACTUAL fossil evidence and carbon dating... But this isn't the non-existent PWR forum, so shut up. And yeah, those Falcons are gonna be hurting after this upcoming 2-game beat-down... And people will quit talkin' about 'em....

Ummmm... Which counts? Couldn't be "ALL"....
Okay, you did miss on the years but did correct for it and originally had the order of magnitude about right anyway.

I forget, how are Brontosaurs and Falcons related anyway? Maybe it was an evolutionary/topic-thread branch of a different kind.. Except for their ultimate fates, of course!

Falcons are interesting but another intriguing team, besides the Rams too, is the Eagles. If the Cards can't beat SF tonight then things look even better for the Hawks.

This Niners/Cards game is getting rough. Let's hope the Broncs/Falcons game is as good.

I predict 150+ rushing yards for the Hawks against Atlanta.

Don't forget Dan Quinn knows our playbook like the back of
His hands. If any team is prepared it will be the Falcons.

Yup! He of all people should know how to best defend against our ZBS. Question is does he have the horses.
