Have to give Okung some praise for his recent play after the way he was maligned earlier in the season. He is mostly keeping Wilson's blindside clean, while dominating the line of scrimmage in the running game.

In the last two games, he has allowed only one combined pressure, while playing the critical LT position. PFF awarded Okung our highest offensive grade in each of the last two games (+4.4 and +2.8 ). He also was our highest graded run blocker in these games. His +2.3 run-blocking grade against Arizona was his highest grade since the 2012 season.

Okung has not had a penalty since Week 6.

He still has not allowed a sack all season.

I was just thinking that yesterday - for all of the stupid OL penalties we're drawing, it has been quite a while since Okung has been the offender. Here's hoping that's a trend that continues.

Kudos for the lack of penalties from him as of late. That has been an issue his entire career, but isn't right now. Keep it up, Okung! :)

He did this same thing last year. Was hurt and sucked a lot of the year, but then got healthy and kicked butt right up through the playoffs. Hopefully that repeats this year.

Okung played a part in completely shutting down Aldon Smith, who contributed to just two tackles and had only one pressure in the game with no sacks or QB hits.

I wonder how much of the improvement is related to LJP comming back or at least an experianced center making line calls?

His game against Arizona was even more impressive than his game on Thanksgiving. Patrick Lewis took all the snaps at center against Arizona.

Okung did play well against the niners, I made a point of watching him several times. Hope he can keep it up and stay healthy.

On the pass play where Wilson hit Moeoki that got down to the 1....when Wilson rolled to his left and came back through the line before he threw...was it Okung who decleated the guy chasing him? You only got a quick glimpse but the NINER..whoever it was...got his head taken off.

That was Jeanpierre.

Good to see some perspective for the O-line. A lot of folks only notice a player's mistakes and not his improvements. The entire OL has drastically cut down on the penalties during November.

Montanahawk...its like something finally clicked with them this month. If they play like this the next 4 weeks....I like our chances.

He gets a chance for payback next week when he goes against Cole. That injury seemed to take a little of the nasty out of him, which is what got Cole all fired up at him in the first place.

Seems like he passed on his false-start disease to the offside affliction impacting Bennett this season.
