Awesome stuff guys I really appreciate it.

So I know someone said that the Club plays a lot of RedZone channel during the earlier games. Does the Club have Directv and is playing all the different games from around the league? Am I right to say that the club is open 3 hrs before the game, but seat access is at the 2 hour mark like everyone else? Thanks

I will definitely look into that link on the casinos and take all the info you all gave on that into consideration thanks so much.

El Gaucho is olny about a 10 min walk from the waterfront marriott so will definitely do that. Maybe take a nice walk to the game (About 27 min) and then hit the Grill which appears to be the halfway point between the hotel and the stadium.

Do you guys have uber? how will do they run before and after games? I guess if I get to stadium three hours ahead it should be no problem. Last year in Jacksonville I actually took a water taxi to the stadium that was sick. is there anything like that on the waterfront?

Thanks guys!

Shug's Soda Fountain + Ice Cream for dessert - so good

Hotel is good -- they have a pool that is halfway indoors and half outdoors so bring bathing suit. Kind of neat to be in it looking out over the water and the stairs right there leading up to Pike market

Their breakfast restaurant buffet is awesome. Regular restaurant attached to the hotel. If you have concierge access you get the continental for free over weekend but worth to pay the extra bucks to get the buffet option

EDIT: You do know that Stanford plays University of Washington on the Saturday right?...…..just saying there is a Saturday game if you want to go

For the sake of us Seattle folks, it's "Pike Place," without the "s".

That damn mountain in Colorado ruined it!

I was at that game too. One of the pubs closed and then re opened the restaurant part next to the taxi across the river. I left the game early as it was obvious to me that we lost both by team and refs. I was good with it. Got a boat taxi over to the south side and then got a taxi back to my motel. Scraped my windshield the next morning and left back to Orlando. A fun trip over all. I met a group of 4 Brits in the pub too. Great times.

Just to add something a little different, if you like steak, check out Bateau. A different take on steak, and a great little restaurant. If you get there around 7:30 to 8, and wait at the bar for a table, you might get a chance to meet with the butcher and talk about what he is doing with the steaks of the day. . Don’t bother with Butcher’s Table. It’s way over hyped.

I don’t see anyone that took you up on the Space Needle question. I would say it’s worth it, especially if the weather is nice. It’s really a tourist thing, but I still go once or twice a year because I love the view. I’ll usually sip a coffee at the top. If you have kids, then I would say that it’s a must do.

I would also say that, while the steak houses mentioned are pretty damn good, you are in the Pacific Northwest, and seafood really should be higher on your priority list than steak. Something like Ray’s or Salty’s should replace one of the steakhouses. Keep in mind, none of the steakhouses have a view, but the view from both Salty’s and Ray’s is amazing. Sunset at either place is just unbeatable. Definitely time your reservation for sunset. If I had to pick between Met and Gaucho, I’d go Met. It’s more Seattle while Gaucho is more like the big steakhouses of Chicago. Nothing wrong with that, but if you are going for local flavor... I mean, why come to Seattle to go to a Chicago style restaurant?

Since you are coming from NY, it probably isn’t worth it for you, but I’m still going to toss in a pitch for Bar Harbor. Great place to grab a New England style lunch after a morning Space Needle visit.

Excellent stuff. Yeah I go to at least one nfl game a year with my buddy and he’s not a big seafood guy. I am definitely a seafood guy though.

Spent 3 weeks in the Seattle area in 1996 (attended two games in Kingdome); actually stayed with a friend about a mile from Clearwater Casino. The ferries are wonderful. Had a fantastic steak at the Space Needle, and the Pioneer Square tour is well worth doing. Great view also from the observation deck in the Columbia Center building (much higher than the Space Needle). Pike Place definitely worth a visit (they throw salmon like Russ throws a football). If you like seafood (especially Seattle's famous clam chowder [sigh]), Ivar's Acres of Clams is on the waterfront, near the Bainbridge Island ferry terminal.

The Museum of Flight is fantastic, if you like aviation. And try Thomas Kemper Hefeweizen beer!

Enjoy Seattle, Steve from New York! It is a fantastic place.

PS - Never went to the casino, but only because I don't gamble (not a cent during a week in Vegas). I'm sure it is very nice there.
