Baldwin is definitely the better WR and you are not the only one who noticed we have a better WR group when Rice is on the bench.

Baldwin will step up. He always does.

Rubbish, when Rice is healthy and on the field our offense improves immeasurably, now with Tate gone we need all the help we can get.

And whilst yes, he's certainly suffered his fair share of injuries, all the people willing to put Harvin's injury woes behind him should remember that Rice has only suffered 2 major injuries in his pro career, one that kept him out roughly a season and a half in 2010/11, then another in 2013.

He's still only missed 6 games more than Harvin in 2 years more playing time. So if you think Harvin can come back from his injury with no woes, why not Rice?

Just saw this morning on NFLN that Sidney Rice was cleared by docs

I saw this on NWCN too and he tweeted it. Also they said on NWCN that 4 other teams were possibly interested in him. Dunno what that means.

It means some team will overpay for him and he will no longer be a point of discussion here.

Rewatch the season this past year, Rice made some pretty darn incredible catches.

Pretty amazing Brandon Lloyd finds a job before Sidney Rice.

He's going to have to sign a prove it deal somewhere. It might as well be here. Here's to him proving it, it could only help us. :thirishdrinkers:

Pretty much what I'm thinking as well. The only team that really desperately needs him is Carolina, and they don't have the cap room to pay him much more than a prove it deal anyways.

Lloyd has been out of football since 2012. He hasn't been able to find a team in over a year.

^ Sorta. He chose to go into acting and rapping. He wasn't actively trying out for any teams.

If you had to choose one who would you guys rather take a chance on a 1 year deal .....

Sidney Rice or Jermichael Finley?

Rice probably. He knows the offense and actually has hands

Considering Sidney was just medically cleared and Finley's condition is still unknown, that's an easy choice.

Either he's not healthy yet or no one is interested in him at his current contract demands.
Or they simply realize that even when "healthy" he's a middling, broken-down-bodied receiver with nominal utility.

"Nominal utility"?

When "healthy" Rice was good enough to make the Pro-bowl. Not many "middling" receivers make the Pro-bowl, Tex.
