Seahawks waived 5 players today: RB Darwin Thompson, WR Connor Wedington, WR Easop Winston, DT Jarrod Hewitt and CB Chris Steele, per NFL.com.

These five were all on minimum deals based on time in the league (.75, .87, .94), so there's no real cap savings on the top 51.

We have room for 38 players now between the draft and UDFA. That's a lot more than usual, but this is a draft that is weak at the top and deep at the bottom.

With the draft capital we have and Pete/John's penchant towards testing out UDFA, there is likely to be a lot of names coming and going between now and training camp, not to mention the final cutdown after the pre-season.
