Warner was so smooth...he glided across the field. Those were the years that you finally had pride about being a hawk fan. Largent, Easley, Warner, Krieg, Taylor, Green, Bryant, Young...great memories.

Agreed. Could run like a RB and take on defenders of any size.

That KC game... watching the OL (and the whole damn team) blocking, most plays, every defender had a hat on them, almost no penetration into the backfield, Warner reading the hole and cutting, just WOW! One of the announcers had an apt comparison for Warner--Gale Sayers. I'd go as far as to say a Sayers/Payton hybrid. It was a treat to see Warner in his prime. Makes me reflect on that Miami playoff game win '84, and how huge a part of that playoff success Warner was.

The next year, IIRC, the Dolphins abused the Hawks in the playoffs without Warner.
