For all the nice depth the Sounders have at midfield and forward...they sure don't have much for the backline. Chad Marshall being out the past couple matches definitely has impacted the team but Traore being out also hurts. Those are arguably the two best centerbacks on the team. It shows. They really need to focus on the CB position soon, Marshall and Traore are not going to be around forever.

David Estrada was traded today to DC United for a Future Draft Pick (2015).

Sounds like Yedlin was sold to the Spurs as well.

Wouldn't quite say that yet....

So many rumors around him hard to say its a done deal until the team announces it. lol.

So Estrada got traded. Well, maybe he'll play more with DC United. He didn't play much here.

On another note, Maybe the Sounders can pay another team to take Frei :sarcasm_off:

Yedlin is in London today undergoing a Physical with Spurs. The Transfer appears to be on, and appears to be a delayed transfer. He should finish the season with us, and perhaps be a sounder through 2015 or later.

No Yedlin tonight, but Marshall & Traore are back as Seattle try to stop their skid. And for some reason the field looks like crap.

A third of the way through the match and Seattle's already picked up two yellow cards and is being dominated at home by one of the worst clubs in the league.

I was wondering about the field too. Looks absolutely terrible. I've seen some people say it's because of the Seahawks but the Hawks haven't played there yet so that doesn't make much sense.

The field looks like crap because they just put down the rubber grains for the upcoming football season. The grains will get brushed in more before the season starts. Looks they just put them down and haven't had time to properly groom it yet.

Field:

Additional Pellets laid down for Hawks.

Amazon Company picnic at clink yesterday pushed back field prep.

Also tonight...tactically, we are a dumpster fire.

PK was legit call, Frei WAY off his line. Should have been retaken. Sounders lucky.

Dempsey should come off. He's not playing great.

It was ugly, but it's a win. And now we have a rematch with San Jose without Martins.

Martins is frustrated. You can tell in his play as he appears to be pressing and when things do not go his way he does something out of frustration.

They won but they need to play a lot better if they are to maintain their league standing. I thought it was a poorly played game. They were lucky Houston couldn't finish its chances. But they got the three points and it was needed.

Taylor Twellman is reporting the deal has been finalized.

Yedlin to Spurs for $4.0 Million.

Yedlin will remain with the sounders through the 2014 season and the earliest.

good for him. The PL will be a great place for him to develop (or fail out). either way, its the appropriate challenge for his ambitions and Spurs are a highly successful and recognizable club

Yedlin will surpass Kyle Walker within 3 years to be the #1 RB at spurs.
