I was watching a show on PBS about the late Marion Motley and they mention a team from Miami by the name of the Seahawks. I was surprised that there had been another team by this name. We are not the original Seahawks team, but back then the league was based on the AFL, which makes us a NFL original.

Miami 's teams colors where white, green and orange. yuk ! And displayed the whole bird.

I found this very interesting story. I just thought it was worth mentioning.

Oh yes, living in Miami I am totally aware of that. I might have posted something about the Miami Seahawks many years back and actually called NFL Radio some months back and talked to Alex Marvez about them. Alex used to write for the Miami Herald.. The Miami Seahawks became the Baltimore Colts in 1947, just one year after the 1946 season.
