Hey guys, let's get back on track...I would hate to see this thread get locked because of political or other issues that have nothing to do with what is otherwise a good topic.

Did you ever hear the one about the blonde cheerleader captain who got off bus No. 96 with her squad? ....

I think I've spotted the culprit.

As a former service member, having NFL cheerleaders come visit us when we were deployed or stationed in Europe was like a little slice of heaven for guys in the desert or who haven't been stateside for years. Believe me, everyone was happy and excited, it is a morale booster for sure. So in my eyes, the disgusting douchebag(s) that did this to them should be hung by their testicles (if they are actually big enough that anyone can find them). They were probably robbed by some greasy perverts that can't get laid for anything less than a months salary. Have fun sniffin' those panties Euro-trash, I hope it was worth it. This actually makes me a little sick to my stomach.

Honestly, NFL cheerleaders make next to nothing, look it up, it's deplorable (link below). I dated one for a few months when I was stationed at Luke AFB, AZ (yes, a Cardinals cheerleader... YOU WOULD HAVE TO) back in 2004. I actually met her through a local event that my squadron volunteered for at the same time they were working it. It was a right place, right time situation, yeah I got lucky. Now, I didn't make much at all (maybe I'm being modest), I was by no means broke, but I sure as hell made quite a bit more than more than her. I bet a 17 year old kid working at McDonalds probably did as well, if you compare yearly tax forms. We actually were getting pretty serious, but the main issue that made us break it off was that she was always busy and she had no free time at all. She was working all the time, but the crazy thing was she only got paid for game days (like $50). 60 hr weeks for training, dance, working out, game day and she didn't get a dime for anything other than game days. The crazy thing is, that it was mandatory to always be there or they would kick you from the team. So I just really, really hope they don't get stuck with the bill for any dates missed or anything that was stolen. Because, unless they are rich either from family, marriage/boyfriend, or they saved a bunch of money before cheerleading, there is no way they can even come close to being able afford anything like this.

This is so messed up. I really hope these clowns get caught, but I highly doubt it, although you never know.

https://www.quora.com/What-is-the-average-professional-cheerleaders-salary I just used this as a reference, it's recent, but I know 10 or so years ago it was probably the same, maybe even worse, who knows.

I was stationed at Luke at the same time you were. What unit?

Bummer for the Gals.

Rick Steves seems to have a fine time in Italy, including Sicily.

He has a guide for what to do when you lose everything in Europe too. FYI.

You have to watch your ass heavily in Italy south of Rome (and definitely in Rome) for thieves. When I read this story, I found nothing surprising about it.

Hey Montana, I was in the 56 LRS and worked Fuels aka POL. I spent a good chunk of my time on the flight line refueling my first 2/3 years, but we did win the award for Fuels flight of the year and I got an award from the squadron for professional of the quarter. After I hurt my back, I was relegated to doing work above my pay grade which eventually led to me having to get medically discharged. I still deal with the pain to this day, my advice to anyone and everyone... don't hurt your back, EVER.

What did you do while you were there?

As far as what they make, I believe the cheerleaders for many teams have filed lawsuits and many are recovering for back wages (although it is minimum wage):

"Raiders cheerleaders claimed they'd been paid less than $5 an hour. They settled in September 2014 for $1.25 million.
The Buccaneers also reached a settlement of $825,000."

The Buffalo Bills, Cincinnati Bengals, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and New York Jets have also been sued.

The fact that this took place in Italy is not surprising. To sad. Cops won't do anything.

I went thru there on the way to Gila Bend..part of the Barrry Goldwater range working with A-10s doing radar stuff with them in 2000. We were there for 2 weeks and although I was not assigned to the radar that I was operating, I had years of experience with it prior to that day. Ended my career on that radar and retired out of Mountain Home AFB Idaho.

A lady friend of mine got discharged medically by working too hard on a radar too. She says the same. She is now working on inspections on some radars somewhere..... 8)

Avionics specialist with the 62nd. Three years.

Uneventful except for the time I was helping prep a jet as a B-man and absent-mindedly rested my hand right on a flap. Would have sliced off four of my fingers below the second knuckle if the pilot had decided to test his surfaces right then. :180670:
