Wilson is def. leaner coming into this season. More bounce. Snapping those passes. Seems looser/more relaxed. Guys don't seem to be razzing him and/or ignoring him as much as previous camps. Bodes well for a strong season if he stays healthy.

Heard Pete said Earl came into camp the best he's been in the last 3-4 years.

NOPE.

Earl actually looks a little slow. His legs are much bigger. That one pic I posted here earlier wasn't a weird angle. His legs are huge and it seems to be slowing him down some. Maybe he is still holding back, taking it easy, feeling it out. Hope that's what it is because he wasn't the same Earl Thomas. Maybe 80% and those legs are screaming muscle pull/tear to me.

Back on the upside - Jimmy Graham might very well be the most remarkable presence on the field this Training Camp. He looks so fast, so strong - and is catching passes with such smooth power it is astonishing this team hasn't figured out how to more fully utilize him yet. Maybe this will be the season that finally happens.

he spent alot of time strengthening his hamstrings and glutes, that will increase his explosiveness and speed. tears and pulls will not be an issue.

Clearly he put time in to strengthen those wheels.

Hope you're right!

No offense OP, but I have more faith in Pete and Earl's own comments than I do anyone here. Yes, any of you

That sounded harsh, I love you all. Most of you anyway.

Well, my own set of eyes worked fine when I thought russ was coming in too heavy last season...

Considering his injury and what he broke, the only things that would help that according to Zorn is 1) Milk, 2) Kryptonite.

True dat. RW was chunky and slower.

Lots of people who attended TC made the same observation.

And it cost him.

Not as much as the swiss cheese O-Line who couldn't block one bit.....thus causing 3 injuries to Wilson.
But yeah, it's all his fault......

LOL yeah the oline had nothing to do with it at all, not to mention the warped and incorrect chunky term when everyone knows he had weight hoping it would allow him to take the hits and that is was mostly muscle but hey let's not let the truth get in the way of a good fantasy. LOL

Why would I, he being Wilson said it, the Hawks said it, he put on some weight/muscle in the hopes it would allow him to handle the hits he was taking better. He was really banged up the year before, However that was not as the supposed RW fan..Not said he said Chunky.

“I’m just easing into things right now,” Thomas said. “Today was the first day in pads; I haven’t been in pads in a very long time. It kind of felt different in a way, because we’ve been playing seven on seven (in helmets and shorts) basically the whole (time since last season).

“But I’m easing into it.”

Whoa! Earl Thomas “easing into”... anything?

http://www.thenewstribune.com/sports/nf ... 56507.html

Good work!

That said - he's not just running slower but running different.

Could be the added bulk in his legs or worry over the injured leg/ age,??

Have no problem with him taking it easy. Am a bit worried he overcompensated with the added bulk in his legs. As I said, they scream muscle tear/pull now...

Sometimes people recovering simply don't trust their body parts that broke before. So they put weights on them differently

In regards to the rest - thanks for putting out your opinions and thoughts out there. I am glad someone is and appreciate that - correct or not correct it is what you observed and it is appreciated

Again with the overdeveloped biceps. I don't think he'll be able to throw the ball with as much velocity with all that muscle weighing him down.

I'm sensing an investigation breaking out pertaining to the caloric contents of that cup he's holding and the juxtaposition of his middle finger in relation to Hass. :snack:
P.S. Those white Daisy Dukes are the bomb.

And Earl is still looking quite a bit slower.

He's getting beat often in camp.

Hope it's him easing back into it, but the concern remains...

Thanks for the update. Especially for those of us who will never be in camp. Glad Jimmy's looking good. On an extra note how has Cyril Grayson been doing? If he can learn to catch with consistency I think he can help the team immeasurably.

I'm GLAD to hear he looks slow. He's incredibly fast, but at this point, he should be easing in to it. You can bet they are being very careful with him. I doubt he plays much at all in the pre-season.

Evan at 80%, he's better than 90% of the Free Safety's in this league

I'm not worried about Earl. I do wonder why he would do anything but train for speed with his legs. It's not like he tackles worth a darn and need leg drive. Coming in like a missile seems to be his most effective method and it is very effective.
