Ertz is going to play? With a lacerated kidney, and Diggs playing? Damn, he better put on 2 flack jackets - that guy could end up with just one kidney for the rest of his life by halftime. Not a smart long-term move on Philly's part, if you ask me.

Might also be that philly is hot and we are not. Titans showed last night that momentum should not be overlooked.

Ertz was cleared Saturday. A number of Eagles fans express alarm in the comments: https://www.bleedinggreennation.com/202 ... as-goedert

The thinking is that he might get used as a decoy. But given that Pederson now knows Carroll knows, the strategic moment might be not decoying him regardless of risk. After all, it's not like workers' comp where you come back light duty with official restrictions. A man on the field is expected to handle any ball coming to him.

Ertz knows this. His BFF from Stanford is Andrew Luck, who also had this injury. He and the team have decided that for this game, it's worth the risk. And that risk means that if he's wide open--like he would be if defenders are guarding Dallas--he's likely getting the ball.

The line for Philadelphia originally started out favoring them by 1, but bettors' money moved them to 1.5 point underdogs. ESPN FPI then predicted a victory for Eagles and reports of Ertz coming back became more believable. That plus their momentum is why people are starting to bet against the Hawks now.
