I do agree that since the banner is so symmetrical, that a centered look might be better.

It being centered now makes it look perfect! Balance at the top is great now.

I will not dare to make any suggestions regarding the winner's work, but since there seems to be a little more real estate up top now, perhaps we should have a separate championship banner up there or something. Fully embrace our championiness. I love the winning entry (so much so I voted for it) but that little XLVIII on the talon isn't in your face enough for shoving our victory down 9'er fan throats.

I thought they all did a great job but I too voted for the winning entry. Nice design, love the vector feel, nice use of textures and the feather icon for the dot is perfect. I admit, it's strange to click on the site and not see my old outdated, tired graphic but change is a good thing.
