Where are the play action short routes?

I don't have all 22 so I'm just going off what I can see on the TV broadcast, but it seems like the majority of our play action routes do not have shallow crosses, slants, or some other quick hitting play that takes advantage of the short field. Could have used that today when it seemed like their dbs were all over our deep routes

Fair point. I recall one third down we tried it and Russ just got smothered instantly for a sack. Something i think needs maybe a bit more examination is why the lack of quicks period. The clutch third downs by Gordon so far barely look contested, in terms of him just man handling the corner.

Why not go back to that well more?

No idea since Gordon seems like money on that play.

I thought the game plan wasn't that great for a cold windy day.

...Because Joey Hunt is being pushed back into his face, and he's not very tall.
