I think you're right, but the majority of the game, Lockett wasn't on the field and the most "pedestrian" receiver on the team was.

Did you watch the game last night? How many years of football have you watched? Last night may have been the best game RW has ever had from the pocket. He's progressing nicely in that aspect of his game. He's not perfect and he has a ways to go in that area as well as being willing to throw the ball to guys that may only have a half step on their coverage. 10 years from now I truly hope you remember posting something this foolish.

You must be joking right? Russell Wilson did all his damage outside the pocket on roll outs. As soon as he was kept stationary he was ineffective. He thew an interception this and last week. I guess it's easier to question my intelligence than post something with thought and reasoning.

I would be curious to see how many snaps Lockett had. These guys don't seem to be on the same page and as long as Baldwin and Kearse have been on this team, Wilson should see these guys in his sleep. It isn't happening and the protection is good. Our oline seems to be better at pass blocking this year???

That's why you didn't see a whole lot of Kearse in the 2nd half........we saw a lot more Lockett and Matthews.

So it's not fallen on deaf ears that Kearse isn't getting the job done. If he wants to stay in the rotation, he has to make at least a couple of those one on one opportunities.

This is the problem I see as well. The Hawks ARE getting one on one in coverage and the ball isn't getting to the receivers. I have watched the tape over and over again. Teams are respecting the run and not even worried about our passing attack. The passes to Graham have been terrible.

I think the switch is coming really soon. Kearse just takes too long to get open. The pass protection was pretty good last night and when/if they make the switch from Kearse, if there is a lack of production, it will be because Russell isn't getting rid of the ball.

Why?

I saw that too... It seems that the coaches are loyal to the veterans and have moved away from "the best players play". That has been the downfall of many coaches.
There's no way you're serious with this post right? Right?!

I doubt the window is even close to closing.

Your defense will get right. I have no doubt about that. Once that happens it's a totally different team.

And look at it this way. At least you're not going without your franchise QB for the next 8 weeks.

Things can absolutely always be worse.

Which veterans would that be? Looked like the DL had a pretty good game to me.

Or is this just an extension of your "the coaches hate Chris Matthews" conspiracy theory?

I guess reading comprehension is lost with you. If you would kindly show me where I said "the coaches hate Chris Matthews", I would appreciate it and I would retract it. I never said it, so you implying that I did makes you seem a bit disingenuous. If you want to attack my stance on the issue, go ahead, but cheap retorts like yours with only Kearse as your argument will leave your ability to advance your stance wanting.

Avril, was getting bear hugged every play and wasn't able to get much push and when he wasn't bear hugged, he was easily guided past Rodgers. Clark got bear hugged and still drove the guy back into Rodgers. Maybe you missed that and can come up with another quote from me that was never said by me...it shouldn't be difficult for you.

Ah, the "reading comprehension" slam. Tried & true, classic message board stuff. Well played.

I thought the DL played pretty well, Avril include. Clark will get his reps in time. As it stands now, he's behind some talented players.

Nope, not serious at all. I think that when something isn't working, it's best to keep doing the same thing over and over and just hope it starts to work eventually like it used to. Alternator in my car went bad, so I put a new one in and it worked great. I'm putting the old alternator back in as we speak...wish me luck. How long should I wait before I decide to put the new alternator in permanently?

The D-line did play well, but could have been better. It seemed that both ends were being escorted around Rodgers on every pass play and Rodgers would just step up into a perfect pocket and deliver the ball...except when Clark drove his guy straight into Rodgers on his few snaps...then Clark went out and the ends went back to being an escort service.

If it is working, stay with it until it doesn't. That's all I want.

I didn't think so. I thought Avril put good pressure on Rodgers. Rodgers is just elusive in the pocket. Might be his greatest strength as a QB. The only thing you can really do with him is make him move around and throw off balance and on the run. Sure, he'll still escape the pressure and make his completions, but you'll largely avoid the big plays. His 7.5 yards per attempt suggest that.

I hope he is joking , or just trying to get under our skin , I guess he does not what football is or does not have any clue what quarterbacking is all about.

We're not the big favorites anymore. However, is any sane person completely counting us out? We're struggling right now but these were two of the hardest games of the year. We'll be gelling better in the coming weeks (at least hopefully) and there are a whole lot easier matches coming up.

Our SB window hasn't closed yet and it won't close for at least 2-3 years. Even if we miss out of the post-season this year it doesn't mean we won't be a play-off team anymore next season. Relax, try to enjoy the game and remember you're not a Raiders or Bucs fan.
