Russell has been fairly successful with bigger, physical receivers in the past (Sidney Rice and Chris Matthews in XLIX).

It would be nice to give Russell a big target at wide out, and could complement Baldwin on the other side. Marshall may not be the answer to that, I'd like to see the team look for that in the draft or the CFL
Ummm....Tanner McEvoy?

No.

Baldwin, Richardson, Graham, even McEvoy and (hopefully) Willson. Only variable is how long Lockett takes to get back to form. We will see some new blood from natural turn over.

Many other places that effort and salary should go.

Back to the OP...I would not be surprised by anything this year by the front office, as they have tried to make "splash" trades since they have taken over, but at what cost this time (Harvin, Jimmy)

I hope to see Tanner McEvoy develop into Kearse's replacement.

Kearse 6-1 209# 4.43 40
Marshall 6-4 230# 4.56 40
McEvoy 6-6 229# 4.57 40

Even though Willson wants to stay he may get an offer we can't match.

He might be the answer this team needs at RT.

Why not just get a former basketball player with no WR experience? A lot cheaper and I sure it would work out just fine.

Or better yet, lets rob the NDA and pickup some top level dodge ball players. They are used to catching those fastballs at least.

If you ball, you get the call.

I think Marshall is similar to a Dez Bryant in that he simply wants to win. Very badly. So much so that he is hard on his teammates.

On one hand, that kind of spirit is good for chemistry, and on the other, it can be a distraction. He couldn't be any worse than a Sherman in that regard.

All healthy, I don't think we focus on WR as much as we do the O-line and D-Line. At this point, we need more help at CB, IMO.

No.

Spend the cap resources on other position groups. On players that have a better impact.

Marshall would have plenty of impact. But WR is far from being a position of need on this team.
Corner and O Line need to be addressed.

I love Brandon Marshall, but this is where WR's come to die.

We have bigger needs. Address those first.

He11 no! What we should do instead is fire ... everybody!!! :D

But seriously, JFG is due a $2M roster bonus in March, we could get surprised on that front if they like Willson enough and Vannett or Williams. We are prettty stacked at WR, so may not need/value an expensive pass-catching TE as much now.

We need a power-running upgrade somehow, much more than a Marshall.

If the price was right. He'd be special here.

There are quite a few priorities thet are higher on the team's needs list than Brandon Marshall though.

If it doesn't inhibit our ability to address our bigger needs, absolutely.

With Pete and Bevell, Marshall would have worse numbers here than he had in New York. Like any other weapon we acquire, he would be a waste of money for this team, because they wouldn't know how to use him.

Declining WR that is over 30 and has an inflated sense of worth. Nope.

He could add some weight and then maybe block as a TE. We don't use Red Zone threats here anyway.
