He's a winner. Makes the plays that we need to win. Has dug us out of deficits in 3/4 of the playoff games he's played in. The protection wasn't great today. He doesn't have his top 2 receivers. Played against a fantastic defense...again. He won. Bottom line.

Oh, and he had a 104 passer rating w/ no picks. Please compare to Kaep or Dalton who have All-World weapons and still cost their teams playoff games. Compare to Luck who put his defense in terrible position throughout the post-season.

104 rating. No Ints. vs an elite defense.

Read an analysis of QB's that says they average 20 pts of variance throughout their careers in QBrating. It starts out at the bottom and works up 20 pts at their peak. Russell's variance is from 100-120, making him one of the all time elite QB's of all time.

He's playing in the SB in only his second year. He's the reason we're here.

I thought he did pretty good for being shackled by over conservatism and limited play calling since we clinched a playoff spot. Its not easy to suddenly have everyone tell you to be yourself again and not have rust and be jittery facing a superb front 7 that was stuffing the run for a full half.

IMO, RW has forced some plays and has been out of character at times because, for the most part, our OL sucks on pass protection.

Yes, there's been some moments - more than a few - where Wilson has been hanging on to the ball too long or scrambled the wrong direction this season.

Sorry, but even if we are WC's in 2 weeks, the line needs an overhaul next spring. Carp & Breno are #2's. We can do better better up front.

It's surpasses even help we need at WR, because it directly involves protecting our franchise QB on every play.
