I hate you for your weather and love you for your fandom.
Considering retirement in Texas......no state tax on pension income or social security income, warm and sunny, etc. I need to be somewhere that is NOT humid though. Any recommendations man?
(Also considering Vegas area for the same reasons)

Better stay north or far west of you want to avoid the humidity. Problem with that is you get away from the pretty part of the state.

Vegas is perfect if you like living in a blast furnace. Lived there for 6 months and it made San Diego seem mild.

I used to live near Denton, TX, and I'd certainly consider retiring near Lake Dallas. Just enough humidity, but nothing like the east coast.

Not sure how long ago you are talking but that area has changed a lot in the last ten years or so.
