Saw this article online about several teams pursuing Duron Carter. Duron is the son of HOF WR Cris Carter. It seems the Colts are frontrunners according to Jason La Canfora. Carter is a big receiver, 6'4/205. He's been playing in the CFL. He's not eligible to sign with anyone until Feb.

I wonder if Cris Carter would refer to Seahawk WR corps as "pedestrian" should they sign Duron Carter.

We are not getting him, we do not throw enough, and Indy does and will offer more, they are serious about putting talent around their franchise QB, So far our team not so much.

Thanks hawkfan68 for the report. Like you said....all we can do right now is salivate!

You're welcome, I just happend to stumble on it to see if there were any big receivers available outside the next draft. The CFL receiving leader is Adarius Bowman, 6'3/217, he had about 1,426 yards receiving. He played at Oklahoma State while in school.

Anthony!, I thought they pass more in the CFL - if that's the case Duron caught 75 passes, that's not much more than what Golden Tate did for the Seahawks last year (he led the team). So I wouldn't count the Seahawks out of the running. Who knows it's all speculation at this point.

How so? Spending high picks on tight ends (one being his former college teammate), a wide receiver in Moncrief, trading for Richardson (didn't work but the effort was there), and spending dough on Nicks.

As for Carter, we must have him. He has legit 1st round ability. Much much much more talented than Matthews. There will obviously be a learning curve, but the ability to be a gamechanger is there. Only concerning thing is his personal issues.

If effort counts wouldn't Harvin, Michael, Norwood, Richardsson count?

Touche. I read it originally however as the Colts weren't doing anything to help Luck, not so much Seattle.

No way we're getting anyone like that if they have a chance to go play in a passing offense. We're going to have to pay dearly for talent at the WR position if we don't hit on it in the draft.

HArvin is not a WR, MIchaels is an RB, Richardson has done little, Norwood also little. Not much effort at all.

Ahh no INdy has given Luck a ton of weapons. His #3 Wr is better than our #1

Hate to tell you its true, INdy has put a boat load of talent around luck at the Wr postion. We have not, sorry but it is a fact.

That would be 2 pedestrian receivers on the field per Chris Carter. Baldwin and now Carters son.
