I've long felt the Seahawks needed a Sproles, Bush type checkdown to match their short in stature QB. A waterbug role. It's especially vital when you consider Wilson's ability to extend plays. I think in theory that was the original intent with Percy, but somehow along the way that role evolved into something else altogether.

Was this the first time the Seahawks opened that up? Or, is it just something that was a bad matchup to the 49ers which highlighted it? It just makes SO much sense with their personnel.

Not sure, but it worked nicely last night.

Anyone else get the feeling that Pete/Bevell/Russ are pretty good at saving offensive wrinkles ?

Sproles would be a perfect addition to Hawks' offense. But Turbin and the TEs did well in that role.

I always kind of felt the Hawks could've used Bush how they planned to use Percy. But, yeah, Turbin and others can fill it.

Well, Pete didn't keep J-Force (Justin Forsett) around, and he's tearing it up now for Baltimore.
Anyone disagree that J-Force is that type of back?
