What we saw yesterday encapsulated the power and evolution of our secondary's mantra. What we saw yesterday encapsulated the power and sheer genius of Pete Carroll's mantras instilled in our organization 4 years ago.

Wilson had thrown his 4th INT of the day with 5:04 left in the game. On said interception, Kearse had just let his second ball of the day ricochet off his hands and into a Packers defender's mitts. Additionally, all 4 INTs had been targets to Kearse. This was rock bottom for Wilson, Kearse, and the 12s. If Harvin was still on the team, he would have refused to go back in at that point, and probably would have been screaming at Wilson and Kearse on the sideline and calling for their benching.

Yet did the defense give up? Hell no. Ferociously blew up the next 3 Packers running plays, resulting in a net loss of 4 yards and immediately giving our offense the ball back. ET and Sherman battling to the last minute with injured arms.
Did the special teams give up? Hell no. Chris Matthews, who was buried on the practice squad for most of the season, would later "claw and scratch" (as Coach Carroll puts it) his way to an onside kick recovery.
Did the 12s give up? Hell no. See Husky Seahawk's post about fans of his section linking arms and imploring fellow 12s to believe. The majority stayed right where they were and screamed down to their last breaths for our Hawks, and were rewarded with the greatest playoff comeback in Seahawks history.
Did Unger, Lynch, Willson, Baldwin, and company give up on Wilson and Kearse? HELL NO.
Did Wilson give up on Kearse? HELL NO.
Did Wilson and Kearse give up on themselves and their abilities? HELL TO THE FRIGGIN' NO!!!

Contrast our team to the Broncos, Packers, and others. The Broncos quit against the Colts last week, in front of their home crowd to boot. The Packers quit with 5 minutes left in regulation, thinking they had this in the bag. This team, including the 12s, comPETED to the last freakin' second. At 5:04 left, despite all the mistakes we made, our coaches and players never quit, never turned on each other, never created negativity. Every man on our team truly loves each other and believes in each other.

Everyone in the country still cannot believe that the Seahawks could pull off a miracle comeback like that. No team should be able to do that. Santa Clara Forty Niner fans are declaring us the luckiest team in NFL history. Sure, people know that our LOB delivers the boom. Moreover, the more knowledgeable ones know that we are also "all about the ball". You know what? We had 5 turnovers yesterday, and we still pulled it off. My fellow 12s, the Seahawks have something that no other organization has. It cannot be taught or duplicated. We 12s have something that other fans will NEVER replicate.

We, the Seahawks, will Always Compete.
