So is that Harris, BJ and Davis all released and only Brown signed? Did I miss a move or are there 2 open roster spots right now?

Coyle back to active roster. One spot open.

I bet it's for secondary depth.

Sounds right
Ir Rawls, Cut Davis/Daniels/Harris = 4
Sign Coffman/Brown, activate Coyle = 3

Leaves 1 spot and only 4 WR. Might be Kasen Williams time.

Thanks Basis. Added that info to the OP.

No worries. Took a bit to get the math right. Twitter is kind of a mess with all the beat guys and fieldgulls people.

BJ probably practice squad material again...and one slot for someone that shows that he can be productive on our roster.

"Curtis Crabtree ‏@Curtis_Crabtree
Seahawks also released WR Antwan Goodley, DT Justin Hamilton and LB Alex Singleton from their practice squad."

Could be an indication they're signing BJ Daniels, Akeem Davis, and Harris to practice squad.

Doubtful, as we are currently carrying 4 TE's. Looks like we're beefing up for the run game and grabbing extra help for the OL and Willson and Helfet.

Not that I wouldn't like to see Kasen Williams. I thought he had a lights out preseason and I'm not sure how the coaching staff chose between him and Kevin Smith.

I'd agree if Willson wasn't banged up. Coffman sounds like insurance.

I figured perhaps Smith was chosen because he's a good returner. Lockett is so valuable as a receiver that we hardly want him getting injured in the return game.

Apparently the Patriots are bringing in Steven Jackson and Montee Ball so those options are out to us.

Ball was signed to the PS, so if the Hawks wanted him they could sign him.

I doubt Davis did anything that wrong in his one game, but rather Coyle just takes his role on special teams and Davis doesn't know the system well enough yet to provide depth on defence. A likely candidate to get signed by the Hawks to a futures contract once the season is over.
