Doug Baldwin restructured contract

Doug Baldwin redid his contract so the Seahawks could clear 5.2 mil in cap space for this year.

So, does that mean the team has $5.2 mil more cap to work with, or are the numbers already reflected in the available cap?

If the team actually has $13.7 mil in available cap there are a lot of things now on thetable that weren't @ $8.4.

I haven't found any link confirming the fact that Baldwin is restructuring his deal ... but if he is and did, then yes that's exactly what I'm thinking. Been saying that these guys who yesterday were rumored to be on the block (especially Jeremy Lane) speaks to the fact that the Hawks seemed to be looking for a way to clear cap space in order to make a big bold move. Looks like they may have just found another way.

A Pass Rushing 3 Tech, I'd wager. That is the clear need. But WHO is the question? What Pro Bowl level 3 Tech is potentially out there who might be available?

Interesting reading his recent posts on twitter. Sounds like this has been a plan shaping up over the past few weeks since Malik's injury. No need to restructure contracts for cap room unless something is happening.

Could it be for Aaron Donald? The Rams can't be that stupid....
