Why in the world is Carson shelved both games??

He had another promising start and then they didn’t run the ball once from 8:11 in the second until almost the fourth quarter. And then suddenly Penny gets a bunch of carries. I do not understand the personnel decisions at all.

In another thread it was suggested that this is how they divide carries. One player per quarter or half is the running back. Ridiculous if true. It's like perpetual preseason.

RB by committee isn't my favorite thing in general.

Simple. Pete wants to see what he has in Penny and can only see that with Penny in the game getting carries when it counts. Penny showed this game that he can play at an NFL level. Lynch he's not, at least not yet, but if Penny can be a threat in his own style, it changes the offense for the better.

Makes no sense. He had 6 carries. And everyone talked about how great his conditioning was in training camp. Extremely poor excuse.
