Seems prophetic now, doesn't it?

There were some fans here who held a similar position as Sessler, but the negative posters who argue loudly for "common sense" and that we certainly aren't a playoff-caliber team shouted them down.

Being a lifelong Ducks fan. Pete Carroll did what Stanford did to the Chip Kelly ducks so many times. Power football, control the clock, wear the defense down.

How do you stop a high flying offense. Pound the rock, control the clock and force turnovers.

It's almost Football 101, it's so simple. It's been true since back in the Dan Fouts era. :mrgreen:

The only thing he missed was the Penney effect. And given how Carson didn't give Penney much of a chance, it's understandable.
