As I recall, a decent rotation guy. It's that kind of a FA season for Seahawks.

Depth signing is being quite kind with words the way I see it. :|

He was 4th rd. pick for us and the Patriots traded Seattle a 5th and 7th rd. pick for him. He's got exceptional short area quickness and is reasonable depth if nothing else.

Situational 3rd and long guy he is okay - good on Special teams. Sure why not.

Signings like this win championships. Competent rotational depth to keep your stars fresh, with the added bonus of good special teams play.

Hopefully his time in NE beat the stupid penalties out of him. That was the only issue I recall him having while here. Otherwise solid special teamer with occ flash plays on defense.

Yeah, except for those unsportsmanlike conduct penalties he had a talent for collecting, I always liked him as a depth player on the Hawks and I think he's got the right bodytype and movement skills for a LEO. Some pass rushers take a few years in the league to develop. He'll have to fight for a spot on the roster though as I'm confident the Hawks will add one or two dlineman in the draft.

Where is Chris Maragos? Anybody heard from Paul McQuistan in a while?

Both have been out of the league for a little bit now. I think they'd want to go younger than them anyway.

Here's a draft profile for Marsh in case some have forgotten:

He has good short area quickness. He'd have the 3rd best short shuttle time of the DLine prospects this draft. Belichek saw something in him Pn'J drafted him, he'd be a nice fit as a ST player and back up DE or as a situational SOLB.

This is a good add.

I'm wondering if the signing of Marsh means the potential end of the road for SOLB- Mingo as cutting him and his contract frees up $4.1 million in cap immediately.

I'm not mad at it.

I agree Todd.

It’s not a bad deal on a functional player.

The depth never hurts when it’s a financially responsible deal.

Fact is, I didn’t hate the guy when he was here, and he learned some stuff from a successful system.

I seem to remember his last season here he had like 4 roughing the passer penalties out of what would have been like 5 sacks.

Wouldn't expect him to start, but could contribute situationally.
