What a bunch of bitter idiots. When are opposing fans going to get real and stop making excuses? And that is part of the negative pestering percpetions Seahawks fans get associated with. As in 12s are too smart and well-educated for their own good, and obviously as fans we have to defend the team.
So when a bunch of blubbering biased idiots keep trying to detract and subtract from the Seahawks, ofcourse we are going to be a bothersome bunch.
I don't even care about Sherman being called a shutdown corner but what they fail to acknowledge is our scheme is absolutely brilliant by essentially negating the rightside of the O-Line into the Blindside protection and it only works if the "Weak-Side" players effectively shutdown the left side of the Defense.
And the main reason you can't copycat the Seahawks Defense is because you an itimidating corner that can effectively shut down one side and get into the QBs head, you need a big time FS that allows nothing over the top, you need a hammer at SS that can terrorize recievers over the middle, you need a top, all-around MLB, you need OLBs that can kill in the flats. You need active, versatile DL that don't mind playing in a rotation. Its all chemistry.
I know its natural for fans to justify and one up each other especially when the conversation involves their "guy" but the truth of the matter is.
Richard Sherman plays shutdown defense for not only one of, if not the secondaries in NFL history but for the best Defense in the NFL. Regardless if that makes him the best cornerback in the NFL, it makes him pretty damn good.
If you think otherwise its most likely because your hate of his persona/character he portrays outweighs the understanding of the player he is underneath the craziness.
