I know money is an issue, but I have to think the reason Seattle didn't pursue this is because they have a real high confidence in Gary Gilliam.

His 2015 injury sounds a lot like a repeat of what happen to James Carpenter. The Seahawks already went down a protracted recovery path with Carpenter. No need to repeat that. Some fans would have had a field day with the information below.

"In a noncontact pass-blocking drill Wednesday, the four-time Pro Bowl left tackle suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee. An MRI on Thursday revealed the injury that is expected to sideline him for the 2015 season.

As the longest-tenured Bronco, Clady represented the cord connecting the past and future. And his absence amplifies an already growing concern about an overhauled offensive line learning a new zone-blocking scheme."

It's 50% money, 50% health. He's missed 2 of the last 3 seasons. Clady made Okung look like Walter Jones in the durability department.

If this makes the Jets any less likely to go OL ahead of us in the first round, then I would regard that as a good thing.

Clady makes PRich look like Brett Favre. So, doubtful.
