I'm watching NFL GameDay's coverage of the preseason highlights right now. Because I like the Seahawks and dislike the Panthers, It's fun to do the Wagner vs Kuechly comparison. Luke just dropped a perfectly giftwrapped interception pass from Garoppolo.

Love me some Wagner, but Luke has widened the gap. He is truly great.

It isn't debatable imo right now. Wagner can close the gap this year.

I watched the game and Cam had all day to throw yet was misfiring all over the place. He looked like hot poo.

Agreed. In terms of gaps between best player at his position to second best, Kuechly is probably only second to Watt right now. That top 5 probably gets rounded out (not in order) with Joe Thomas, Earl Thomas, and Aaron Donald.

Kuechly had a pick six against us in the last playoff game.

Wagner seems to have regressed to me. Two years ago I argued he was as good as Luke.

Not anymore. Kuechly is on another level.

Agreed, still top shelf but not on Luke's level. However he did look good last game. hopefully he'll get back to his 2013 self.
