Not a surprise that it happened what with the new owner and all, only the timing is a bit odd. Hope they don't rally around the interim guy to the point of making the Hawks' game miserable for our team week after next.

Unless they have a big name candidate lined up, this seems like the type of move a bad owner makes. You don’t fire arguably the best coach in your teams history during the season.

If Jim Harbaugh is returning to NFL, it'll be here w/this new owner and not Dallas.

Then again, could be competing with Jason Garrett for the job. Don't see either of them going for a JAX or a CLE first.

Turner isn't actually the interim head coach. He's a special assistant to the new interim head coach Perry Falwell.

I could see that. Rivera would for sure lower the drama and chaos associated with the Cowboys franchise. Which is exactly why he would never go to Dallas, IMO. Jason Garrett is probably actually a good coach, but Jerruhs constant posturing and spotlight seeking and micromanagement by press conference would be a distraction for most coaches.
