I found this article a very good read. We all take being a football player for granted yet never really think about what is going on behind the scenes. I always sort of knew this stuff was going on but never really put much thought into it. Also has a bit of irony with some of our players being popped for weed.

That's a good read.
After reading that I would think if the league really cared about safety, the easiest thing would be expanding the 53 so teams aren't so desperate to get players back on the field.
But of course that would mean increasing the cap and less money going to the Rog and co.

Yeah we do not think about how much these guys put it on the line every day to do something they love. You would not put yourself through this if you didn't. The pressure to perform has to be immense.

This article reminded me of Jim Otto story,70 surgeries on his knees, shoulders, back, nose, you name it. Lost his leg. I always hated the Raiders but would never wish this on anyone.
