    Pick # 121 - TE AJ Barner

He is JJ McCarthy’s choice for the Michigan player who will make a bigger impact in the NFL

    Lock contadicts js on expectations

Shiny object syndrome started with the Percy Harvin trade. Pete killed it in the draft and personnel decisions (like the Lynch trade) when he had his finger on the pulse of college football, either by playing against the players we ended up drafting or bringing in as UDFA, heard from former...

    Grading Seahawks 2024 Free Agents

I think the plan is Colson but taking him at #16 is way too high, JS needs to trade down a bit and not tip his hand in the process, so signing Dodson & Baker may be part of that strategy to secure Colson if we could get him early 2nd. Its interesting because the Brooks draft was a similar issue...

Is there a LB in the draft comparable to Roquan Smith?

I think you're right. Many teams behind us in the 1st could end up reaching on an LB (Packers, Rams, maybe Cardinals).

    Our pre-draft Front Seven

Seems very likely JS trades down from #16 to take Edgerin Cooper or Junior Colson as our 1st pick, wherever that ends up at. Both are meant to be very good against the run. Cooper is faster, seems to be closer to Roquan athletically. They could also go Payton Wilson whose an elite athlete but...

How are you feeling about the Roster RN?

Its only a playoff roster if many of the young guys make the next jump. Witherspoon, Woolen & Mafe need to become stars, several others like Hall, Morris and Young need to show something, Love has to step up to become a top 15 safety, at least one or two of these late round O-linemen (Oluwatimi...

    Poll: Leonard Williams trade

The counterargument to this is you dont know the number of FA deals in the past that Seattle lost out on for reasons having nothing to do with money. What if Seattle had made the highest offer for Javon Hargrave last year but he chose to go to 49ers because he wouldn't be expected to lead the...

    Poll: Leonard Williams trade

Not sure Geno's resurgence was him "manifesting" results out of pure belief. People act like Geno overcame such massive odds, out of nowhere, but the stank on his career was because he had the unfortunate path into the league by being drafted onto the Jets, who only ruin everyone they ever...

Jordyn Brooks to Miami (3 years, $30m)

They also rate Jon Rhattigan at a 72.3. Seems like PFF exists solely to inflate/deflate fans expectations about how good players actually are.

Seahawks hiring Aden Durde as DC

He helped to launch the International Players Program about 5-6 years ago. Also, he was the DC for 6 years it says for the London Warriors, who were champions of the British professional American football league for 5 of 6 years in the UK from 2013-2018, which means he probably was with the...

    Does Macdonald keep Geno?

That’s fine, we should flip them something for him, we could use the massive savings cutting ties with Geno for free agents.

    Does Macdonald keep Geno?

I doubt it, look around the league, most teams without a top 10 starter are either locked into an expensive contract which isn’t paying off (Watson, RW, Carr, Daniel Jones, Stafford, Kyler, etc), or are stuck with a young project QB who they sunk too much draft capital into (Carolina...

    Does Macdonald keep Geno?

Why not sign Jake Browning? Won’t be too expensive. Has the UW homecoming thing (which hasn’t been a storyline here forever). He went 4-5 but had a 70% completion rating, so kind of exactly what we were paying Geno to do, but at 1/3 the price

Dan Quinn & Mike MacDonald Interviews

Something to remember, Jim Mora brought Dan Quinn into the organization, it wasn't Pete or John who initially hired him. They brought him back to Seattle after Gus Bradley left, but that may have been the obvious move at the time given his ties to the organization. I just dont know if we can...

    Mike Vrabel

For the record, I dont even think they'll hire Vrabel. Just logically Schneider probably wont want to hire someone whose going to threaten him too much with player personnel, which could be the case with Vrabel given how Tennessee was handling things last couple years. But who knows, the money...

    Mike Vrabel

Hard to put guys who have been with stable organizations in your side of the argument like Harbaugh or Tomlin, they've been with their teams for a long time, and those organizations dont turnover HCs very often. Tomlin happened to be a coordinator before that role, but they could have hired...

1st Timer HC v Retread HC?

The thing is, they're far more likely to hire a young guy because Schneider has assumed control. From Schneider's perspective, he's not going to want someone like Harbaugh or maybe even Vrabel who will potential challenge him in key decisions. A younger guy who is more about the on-field...

    Mike Vrabel

Well if you're going to make wide generalizations about what path leads to more success you can't evaluate that within a 1 year window. But to answer your question, Todd Bowles flamed out with the Jets, and Dan Campbell was interim HC for the Dolphins previous to this.

Dan Quinn & Mike MacDonald Interviews

Holmgren didnt exactly get pushed out, the Seahawks just never renewed his contract, and then named his successor while Holmgren was still on the job. In retrospect, that was a rather insane situation that I dont think has happened since in the entire league.
