While Blair had a lot of potential, you can't make the club from the tub. Freak injuries pretty much, but you have to be available.
And his tackling in the pre-season was horrid. And I like the guy.

He was a thumper who frequently went for big hit instead of the sure tackle. I'd believe they've seen enough of him to know what have can and can't do and there are others who are simply better. I'd not be surprised if the team released Collier as well.

Thanks kidhawk!!!

Much appreciated, will begin updating now.

Thanks as well to everyone else who added information here.

Now for waiver claims, possible trades, or other FA signings, and the formation of the PS.

Certainly some interesting cuts indeed with further roster moves to go.

Updated.

Really surprised Collier made the team, he's been "injured" all preseason and hasn't played a down. Last year to prove something I guess.

Yeah, figured maybe he would go on an injured list. But the guy makes 2 or 3 good plays A SEASON. Enough already.

I get the frustration that a lot of fans have with Collier. He has been injured frequently, does not get sacks, and even when uninjured has not consistently broken into the rotation.

Injuries are a part of the game. Players get injured and have to work their way back. Sometimes the timing of injuries can derail a career just as surely as the severity of the injury. I do not hold getting injured against any player and do not think getting hit by the injury bug makes a player soft. Therefore, I think it is important that we not write players off due to injuries, especially with young players who have not yet realized their full potential.

In general, this board and most casual fans should stop evaluating interior d-linemen (including 5T ends) based on sack numbers. There are many different types of players at those positions, some are quick explosive players, some are space eaters, and some are strong in both areas. The sack numbers are also largely dependent on alignment and technique. It is common for a 3T in an under front to be an explosive player capable of getting quick penetration. That under tackle is also in a favorable pass rush alignment. We should not expect the same sack numbers from interior DL with different strengths and in other alignments.

The timing of Collier's injuries has created difficulties, and are, in my opinion, largely responsible for him being unable to work his way into the rotation. He did have one healthy preseason which led to quality contribution early in that season.

We kept 7 defensive linemen on the 53. I think Collier is easily one of the top 5 we had in camp based on present capabilities and top 3 based on potential. I am glad we kept him and think other fans will think the same by the end of this season.

Everything is now updated for the first version of the 53 with changes likely to be expected.

Thanks everyone for adding in your thoughts and information here.

Not sure that Collier is still going to be on the team by next week if the team adds a player at 5 tech. Time alone will tell.

Time to claim waived players runs out at 4 p.m. tomorrow. Then the PS can be built. I'd expect we may get back several of the players waived today as PS players.

The team makes two waiver claims so there will need to be some further roster moves to allow the two to join the team. Added are CB- Isaiah Dunn from the Jets and DE- Darryl Johnson from the Falcons.

Donkor doesn't count because of the international thing, so that leaves five spots on the PS.

The team has announced they plan on signing QB- Sean Manion so really there are 4 spots left of the 17 allowed with Donor, as Donor doesn't count against the numbers. I've included him as signed b/c it's just a formality to add him.

Have updated the PS on the OP.

There still appears to be roster moves that will happen, potential IR designations or the like.

Right, I forgot about Mannion. I hope Joel Dublonko gets signed. I like what I saw from him.
