Seems to me the cap moves with Geno signal he's very unlikely to be traded or released this season.

It also seems unlikely the team will definitely draft a QB this offseason as well. Of course this is speculation and could be another one of JS' misdirection moves.

Looks like the team with the two restructures have righted themselves with the salary cap. $12,969,647 (OTC.com) to the good and with the significant cap increase from the league to $255,400,000 the team is in fair shape to start the season and FA. OTC.com hasn't calculated the positive additions from the league's just announced cap increase yet.

#12,969,647 is the present OTC.com team cap number and this number does include the just announced cap limit of $255.4 million which is an increase of more than $30 million over last season.

The OTC figure does include the new league wide cap figure. After tendering our EFRAs and tendering at least RFA, I show Seahawks available cap at about $8.7M, and this is before any impending cuts or restructures.

Thanks John, I was going to correct that post above upon looking closer.

Thankfully It's now done, much appreciated!!!

While the whole league is in the same boat this certainly makes the job for the team get a few deals done much easier.

Mone and Bellore cut alone add 8.25, and restructures/extensions possibly add a ton of room

OTC updated the cap space for all the teams to account for adjustments related to prior year charges. The details are never made clear but the total adjustment was a little under $500,000. I think most of that related to Jaron Reed, as I think he earned a $400,000 incentive that was previously considered "Not likely to be earned". In 2024 it is considered likely to be earned as it was added to 2024 as well. No real point in projecting overall cap space at this point because the cap-reaper is sharpening in scythe as we

if you're sick of minutia cap updates, please let me know (haha).

OTC has been fine tuning some figures and I noticed the Seahawks dead cap carryover from 2024 increased by $5,000. These are the remaining bonus pro rations for players that were cut after 6-1-2023, mostly rookies. When I added those contracts up I came up with $242,492 but OTC had it at $5,000 less... which I couldn't figure out but I was just going to defer to Jason as he sees more information than the rest of us.

So, this morning I noticed he adjusted the dead cap figure back up to $242,492. Hah!

Absolutely NOT sick of minutia cap updates.

In that regard you are exceptional in your understanding and constant following of the subject.

Keep it coming!

OTC is now showing about $36.2M in cap space, but that figure is bloated because the Seahawks have only has 46 players under contract. After tendering a few EFRA guys, that figure I think will go down to a little under $31M.

Depending on if they tender any RFAs, that figure will go down even more.

Bryan Mone is still on the chopping block, but there may still be injury issues there, which would delay the inevitable. He's due a roster bonus June 1 so this one may drag on a bit.

I'm still curious what happens with Tyler Lockett.

I'm also very curious about what the team will do with Lockett. Do think Mone is gone.

Lockett is a curiosity, he is still here and I think that means they are going to see if they can work around something.
