This is why these players should give more consideration to a fair market value contract rather than holding out for every last penny.

Careers can end in the blink of an eye.

This stinks. Dak seems like one of the good guys other than being a Cowboy.

The one take on it I say it was ugly, very Thiesmann like in the break, foot sideways and flopped.

I never want to see anyone injured.

We'll now have the media on this one for a while.

Changing the thread title (or merging them or whatever) really makes the early commenters look like jerks. Sort of funny, but not a good look to opposing fans.

It's a multiple compound fracture. There were pieces of bone sticking out through the skin.

Done for the season and without complications might possibly be the best outcome here.

What happened to Alex Smith is also a possibility here.

I never liked his team personally, but man I hate seeing that happen to anyone.

Yeah, I was looking at the thread & thought "I didn't post in that thread" & opened it up to find I posted a few things that would be considered insensitive given the situation.

I feel for Dak as he certainly did nothing to deserve such a gruesome injury. It was a protruding compound fracture and dislocation of his ankle. Bye bye wheels. He'll never be the same. Poor guy.

That said, it does please me that Mike McCarthy's season is now going right down the toilet, as are his future prospects as a coach. Really dirty play is clearly party of his coaching methodology, so I look forward to his failure and firing. It'll also please me to see the Cowboys continue to languish in suckitude.

I changed it a few hours later, with an edit to my original post. This thread had shifted to Dak's injury before the name change, and you can see the place where the thread shifted over. No one was insensitive, and anyone who reads it should see that.

Out 3-4 months I saw..My buddy had the same injury and they put
a plate n screws in there..Dak running with speed is over but with
that Dallas offense he doesn't need to run or catch a pass.

Probably sorry he never took that long term offer...

He did reject a $100 mill deal.

And the team needed money for other players to compete.
