Build the team first. Add the QB when the rest of the team is built up.

Unless you hit on a truly generational player, like Mahomes, rolling the dice on a QB is just a waste of picks.

Mahomes in the first, Purdy in the last. It’s a crap shoot with the odds being only slightly better in the first.
Every draft pick is a crapshoot . BTW...waiting to acquire and develop a QB last ; is assuming there is ' QB tree ' ready to harvest anytime you're ready to pick one . Dumb plan .

Except that is pretty much exactly what we did with Wilson. 🤷‍♂️

Over focus on the whole "QBOTF" snipe hunt has hurt many a franchise. Reaching for QBs is like playing russian roulette. I'm glad they didn't do that this year, especially, and have focused on two key areas that needed work. We were a little lucky to have two really good players drop to us where need met up with BPA (pretty much, anyway).
No risk, no reward. Trying to get to the sb with cast offs and late round picks 95% of the time doesn't get you any further than playing russian roulette.

Howell is better than most of the picks taken. He will end up being better than at least 3 of the top 6 taken. Let that sink in. He's a legit starter with tons of upside.
Not if he plays like last year he isn't.
