What it boils down to is more money for the NFL. More offense means more casual viewers are interested. The more casual viewers the more money from advertisers. Has nothing to do with fair.

I sort of disagree. Of course the NFL wants more money, but to think that "fairness" doesn't make them money is a mistake. the more even they make the games, the more close, competitive games they have. The more competitive games, the longer the casual viewer will tune in which equals higher ad revenues and ever increasing television contracts. So we kind of agree and disagree all at the same time. Fun stuff
