Griffin can't cut on that knee. He can't.
The Redskins, by ragging the crap out of their investment last year, are basically left with a car that doesn't work any more.
Griffin was never a great pocket passer who diced up defenses with precision accuracy. He was a guy who could get out of the pocket and then it was money time. Great arm, always a threat to break off a huge run, fantastic passer on the run, great deep accuracy.
But they let him play recklessly to start the year, failed to address it, and eventually he got hurt. Instead of saying, "OK -- this is a long term investment"... they put all their eggs in the 2012 basket. When he should've been shut down for the year resting that knee, he's out on the field. The rest is history.
And now they've rushed him back to start this season with ZERO pre-season football and the guy can barely move out there. It's hard to imagine how they could've got this more wrong.
We're seeing the end product of their reckless approach.
