Anyone know whee the Hawks are in terms of the waiver claim priority?

We'd be pretty deep with a 10-3 record.

If he were to fall to us I'd try to pick him up as he would add a specialist in pass rushing to a desperately weak pass rush.

He'd be a $1.3 million cap hit though.

27th I believe.

Dallas, Philly, Houston, Pittsburgh, Chiefs, Vikings..........hard to imagine any playoff contender ahead of us wouldn't want a guy like Suggs. It's not like Gordon where there was some personal and injury baggage to make teams pass.

Suggs is a legit pass rusher, and still effective.

I think we'd be crazy not to bring him in, especially with all the health problems that Ziggy is having. My guess is he gets claimed by one of those teams that are on the fringe of making the playoffs though. I say he ends up in Pittsburgh.

Considering he's only owed like 400k the rest of the season, I could name 10 teams that'd snatch him up before us. What playoff contender doesn't need an effective pass rusher to add to their rotation?

Not sure why the Cardinals even released him, unless he asked them, so he could go play on a playoff contender.

I'm thinking that they came to an agreement to release him out of respect. This may well be his last season and if he gets picked up by a non contending team, he probably retires instead of playing.
Yeah the article mentioned that the Cards are wanting to see some of the younger guys play since they aren't contending. Also said that they talked with him before the release.
Wouldn't surprise me if you're right about retiring if he gets nabbed by a non-contender.

Wow, 37? I knew he was getting up there, but didn’t think he was quite that old. I’m sure John & Pete are doing their due diligence.

Does go by record or like the draft order.

The waiver claim priority list changes week to week I believe, thus even if you have the best OA record you may not actually be last to claim that week.

Maybe the Clowney Effect takes hold and Suggs decides to come here just because he believes in the organization.

Suggs is too old and injury prone. I’d rather take a run at Jenkins. Our DBs could use some help and depth.

I believe the Rams would put a claim on him just to prevent the Seahawks from getting him. They probably don't need Suggs but he could be a good depth player for them and it prevents a division rival from adding him.

That's not going to stop a team from claiming him, though. If I'm the Chiefs, I claim him whether he reports or not. Anything to keep him away from Baltimore.

Just what the rest of the NFL Playoff teams need....the Ravens to obtain another rusher.

So, his old team looks like SUper bowel favorite, and he wants to go back...

I wonder what his departure was like?

There's no reasonable, above board reason he'd be able to make it back to the Raven's roster. As mentioned, any playoff team would want the depth. Also as mentioned, any team that didn't even value his play would claim him to prevent the Ravens from getting him back. Can you imagine Raven's TSizzle coming off the edge to sack Mahomes in a close playoff game? The crowd, the momentum.....

My point is that, if TSuggs ends up back on the Ravens, it's because something else must be going on behind the scenes. I'm sure it would be a great story and provide for a lot of press for those 2 weeks before the SuperBowl if it were to play out like we might expect. It would be a great feel-good story for the NFL but completely unrealistic in a hands-off competitive league. If this happens, it would have to be orchestrated by the NFL and makes me think of WWF. All of those that push officials' gamefixing and Kap's blackball, you'd be proved right. Let's hope it doesn't go that way....

Oh yeah, call his bluff. If he wants to play, KC as a 2nd choice would be great.
