NY actually missed 3 game winning field goals (1 @ end of 4th qtr, plus 2 in OT)!!!And since they seem to like animated gifs in that thread, here is one for them:

Edit: For those that don't remember this it was against the Seahawks and Shockey was celebrating a game winning field goal before it went through. The Seahawks ended up winning. It was a game in which both teams were doing their damndest not to win.
Again why?
Are you guys brothers or sisters or are you guys bots?Exactly, WHY?
Ahhh, thank you for pointing that outI think the Giants logo is gratis from the board - the name above the logo is that of a packer's fan. I got confused at first when I read that comment too.
I think there was a study that showed New Yorkers can't stand the sight of elderly gum-chewers.They called Pete an A-hole at least a dozen times. Why? Have no idea
I do know we usually beat the Giants but don’t understand the hate. But they do love our grunge rock apparently lol
New York is awesome. Even just exploring the parks is amazing.Yeah, absolutely. There is a lot of stuff to do here. There is a lot of diversity of what to do as well.
A lot of people who live here will downplay all the touristy stuff, but I still find that stuff enjoyable and if you get tired of that, lots of less touristy stuff to do as well.
I'll add that the subway experience is not nearly as bad as portrayed. I only had 1 incident in my whole time there. The vast majority of the time it is uncrowded unless you are on the A train but even then unless you were getting close to the stadium it was always easy to find a seat. New York gets a bad rep. The vast majority just mind their own business. The size of the rats was hard to get used to though.I lived in Harlem 125th Street with my band in 1989. Moved to the Village in 1990...Talk about a dichotomy. If you love architecture, arts, restaurants with plenty of diversity and highly populated city living that never seems to have a true sleeping phase, then NYC is the place for you. Like any city in America you have your slum/squaller sections (ah, nothing like the smell of urine and feces) and your well-to-do areas of affluence. If you are curious and have been thinking about going I would recommend it. Central Park in the Fall is spectacular. I was there most recently last Fall and I have casual photos that look like postcards.
As for the people, meh, I wouldn't get worked up about their attitudes. You need a thick skin, not take things too seriously and you will be fine. They are loud, brash, opinionated and could give a flying you-know-what, what you think. But it's been my experience once you get to know them (and they get to know you) they soften and are for the most part cool people.
One of the tourist T's you will come across says "WELCOME TO NY! (Now Get The **** Out!). Pretty much sums it up!
If you're looking to pull the trigger, I think you need to visit Chicago. You think New York is worth visiting as a tourist? Me and the wife haven been talking about going for a while but never pulled the trigger.
It's still funny to me that I was so wrong.. I lived in Inwood, Manhattan but was concerned about going to Harlem, Hells kitchen, the Bronx, etc. Turns out that they were some of the most beautiful places in the city. I'd recommend anyone on the fence to visit New York. Central Park alone is worth it. Be ready to spend 2 days exploring there though. It is HUGE. A 20 minute train ride north from there will take you to smaller but equally impressive parks. I'll have to admit I went all tourist seeing times Square for the first time. It's mind blowing.I lived in Harlem 125th Street with my band in 1989. Moved to the Village in 1990...Talk about a dichotomy. These people have too much time on their hands. Posting from their gramma's basement.
Its not.. but.. **** those statistics right?I can't be the only one who sees the irony of someone on a Seattle Seahawks forum saying this.. considering Seattle has the highest suicide rate in the nation
What struck me was the lack of commentary on our current roster and the game on Sunday. Those guys seem traumatized by Seahawks teams from the past. My favorite is that they think this is the same team that lost that Super Bowl to the patriots.
Me too, some guys like you never even post about the team. I think some people just come here to troll.I wonder if a lot of people are actually Seahawks fans, but that's just me.
